This qualification is designed for both experienced and new trainers who wish to enhance their performance and gain a training qualification that allows them to deliver Highfield qualifications. The focus of the qualification is on effective delivery of training and allowing learners to develop planning, preparation and delivery skills. They will practice delivery methods, questioning techniques, management of groups and individuals along with time management.
The topics covered include the characteristics of an effective tutor, teaching and accommodating different learning styles, how to effectively use of lesson planning, how to manage groups and individual learners, questioning techniques and types of assessment.
This 12 hours interactive course is delivered over a 2-day of guided learning. There are practical demonstrations where learners must deliver either 1 or 2 micro-teach session(s) totaling 20 to 30 minutes. These must demonstrate suitable level of achievement against each assessment criteria.
Then the self-evaluation section of the report must be completed by the learners which will be completed in written format, the tutor may write the responses following a verbal discussion with the learner.
